Tights, Shoes, Hair & Makeup
Tights & Shoes: To ensure that there are no discrepancies in color and style, students wear special dance tights and pink ballet shoes (girls) or black pants, socks, and ballet shoes (boys). *Pre-Primary dancers need to bring their black tap shoes.
Makeup: Stage lights are very bright and can wash out features. In order to see every dancer’s sparkling eyes and smile, girls wear makeup on stage: lipstick, blush, eye shadow, and mascara are recommended. For the boys, a little blush works well.

Hair: Uniform hairstyles are also required.
-
- For Girls: our ballet classes wear their hair in a bun. Hair should be smooth or slicked back so that it looks polished on the stage (no bangs or stray hairs). Hair should not wiggle or move when the dancer shakes her head.
- For Boys: their hair should be combed so it looks neat and tidy. No hair should be able to get into the eyes while they dance. Using hair product of some kind to hold the hair in place is best.
